Facilitation patterns are structures that guide how participants run, interpret, and frame the game. Unlike mechanics, they do not directly resolve actions or manage resources. Instead, they shape decision-making, narrative focus, and the priorities of play.
They answer questions such as:
- What should the GM focus on?
- What kind of story should emerge?
- What is considered good play?
- How should uncertainty be interpreted?
